A rarity for me, but no cartoon talk in this post (sorry), just a quick word about my favorite new TV series 'Dexter', Starring Michael C. Hall (six feet under). It's a twisted show about a serial killer who targets other serial killers. There are lots o' layers involved in both plot and character development, and the shows more gruesome side is tempered by Dexters attempts to fit into the world as a normal person.
Let me say that I don't watch TV (who has the time anymore?), but this Showtime series was strongly recommended by a friend, so I took the plunge. So far I've rented the first 4 episodes, watched them on my computer, and LOVED every freakin' minute.
The show begs the question "Is Dexter a good person doing bad things?" or "A bad person doing good things?" You be the judge.
All in all, a strong recommendation from this cartoonist. And don't worry, I won't be quitting my day job to become a critic anytime soon.
